Summer Reading Club

This summer Wrentham children and teens and their families are invited to participate in the 2010 Statewide Summer Library Program : GO GREEN AT YOUR LIBRARY, sponsored by your local library, the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The goal of the summer reading program is to encourage kids to read or be read to throughout the vacation months.  Sign up began on June 18.  Participants reading OR BEING READ TO for a minimum of 15 minutes per day for 30 days during the summer may enter a raffle to win one of the following prizes:

Once again this summer the children are invited to help Miss Liz choose
an animal, honeybees or trees to donate through Heifer International.
Founded in 1944, Heifer International is a humanitarian assistance
organization that works to end world hunger and protect the earth.
Through livestock, training and “passing on the gift,” Heifer has helped
seven million families in more than 125 countries improve their quality
of life and move toward greater self-reliance. Heifer helps build strong
communities because each project participant agrees to pass on the gift
of animal offspring, training, or skills to another family in need.
All children finishing the summer reading club program will get to vote
for which animal(s), bees or trees  they would like to donate to help a
family in need. See the display  in the children’s room for more

organization.

Baby/Toddler Playgroup
COME COOL OFF IN THE AIR CONDITIONING!!
Birth to pre-walkers with Mom, Dad or caregiver meets on Fridays at 9:30. Toddlers (walkers) to age 2 1/2 with Mom, Dad or caregiver meets on Fridays at 10:30. Meet new friends, play with the new toys and gym equipment purchased with funds from the Friends of Fiske!!!  Come join the fun! No registration required just DROP IN. If arriving before 10AM please ring doorbell.
